Great looking photos for your sales thread. That model looks sweet and would make a fine addition to Swissair collectors. By the way, I noticed the cover displays 'Modell', was this a European release by Gemini or one of Gemini's partners? I can't seem to recall seeing any Gemini 200 model boxes with the word 'Modell' on the cover. Thanks T7, and all the best with your sale.

It was a exclusive release for Switzerland. I just got the model this Friday together with the other exclusive Switzerland release, the Swissair Fokker 100. The moulds are JC/Gemini. They don't come up very often so I would guess it should sell quickly.

Btw there is a Phoenix 200 Swissair A330-200 that was just released as a Switzerland exclusive as well.

I appreciate the reply. I thought it was an 'exclusive' roll-out based on the photos of the cover art. This thread caught my attention, since I sold the IF200 Swissair DC-10-30 and IF200 Swissair DC-8 models in about 30 minutes for each of them; yep they both went fast. T7

I was lucky enough to get the F100 as well - one of the favourites of my collection and I won't soon part with it.

Gemini produced this for Swiss Wings like they produce for Socatec (Air France).

Just a warning to anyone who is looking to use friends and family to pay for something using PayPal, once you pay using friends and family you will not be able to dispute this transaction once sent. As far as PayPal are concerned you are not buying a product and don't get the same protection? Asking people to pay for the PayPal fees is ridiculous…… So if it gets 'lost in the post', you have no leg to stand on....

I think you should have showed some respect to the OP in this sales thread and created your own thread stating your warning in the 4 sale section; instead of hijacking his thread. Tell me if I am out of line with that request? An apology should be in order, but something tells me that won't be coming anytime soon? Or better yet, prove me wrong. Thank you, T7 (my apologies to the OP of this thread for being a bit peeved)

Interesting, I always thought my Socatec AF A320-200 model box looked similar to the design of the G200 boxes. Thank you, T7

Really, that is how you rightfully defend yourself on someone's 4 sale thread. You are not breaking any r-u-l-e-s here?

Rule #1 - show some class/respect on the forum and create your own thread instead of hi-jacking another member's 4 sale thread. Personally I have no problem with your Paypal warning message. If you want to get a warning message out to the DAC, create your own warning thread (do you find that difficult to do?).

Looks like you also posted your warning in this OP's other sales thread for his BAE-146 and he responded accordingly to your post. I could be mistaken, but based on 2 posts from you in both of his sales thread; did something go downhill with you and him?

Yeah, I get "Thank You" comments/feedback as a seller on the DAC from buyers. You should check them out when you have time. Regards, T7

You are correct but for one point. It is not ridiculous to have conditions of Sale. The buyer has a choice.

I also always include tracking with shipping unless the buyer wants to pay the minimum shipping cost that usually does not have tracking or insurance with it. Then they must pay F&F so they cannot make a claim if they did not receive.

I was ripped off for $100 USD once using the F & F to pay for a model. Not really familiar how PayPal worked,so that is my bad. No contact made by seller after several emails. Model did not show up. My final email to the seller was a single word: "KARMA".

You are clearly spending far too much time on your replies and enjoying making this go far further than it really needs to go So lets just.......

Hi Kitty Hawk, sorry to hear about your bad experience with a seller. Was that a DAC seller by any chance? Do you always select tracking with your model purchases from sellers? I've only sold 1 model without tracking, luckily he received the model. But, all my other sales MUST come with tracking or no sale on my end.

Sorry to hear about that.

If you don't know the seller - have not dealt with them before - you should definitely get the buyer protection and not use F&F option.

I have had experiences where buyers want the cheapest shipping option but still want to have buyer protection - but if I cannot prove delivery - I am not protected.

So if they want the protection - it's only PayPal 'Pay for Goods or Services' and the buyer pays the fees.

I have many trusted selling relationships with DA.c-ers and we deal a lot using F&F - but tracking is always used.

I do believe that tracking also comes with $$ insurance. As widebody mentioned, over the years on the DAC you get repeat DAC buyers based on your initial sales and you build that trust and confidence for sure.

Simply put - tracking makes both the seller and buyer at ease. I've turned down sales in the past when the buyer insisted on the more economical shipping method without tracking.

I think it's the other way around, you have plenty of time on your hands and have nothing better else to do than hi-jack another person's sales threads on the DAC in 2 of his sales posts.

FWIW, I have done business a few times with Widebody and have nothing but good experiences dealing with him.

As far as Paypal, if the seller wants F&F just send it as a pay for goods and services and use one of the online calculators to send enough to cover the fees. Either way you are ending up covering the fees but this way you at least get the buyer protection.

Was not a DAC member. Now I always insist on tracking, buying or selling. If selling, signature required. I have seen stories on the news of people who spend the day, following courier or postal vehicles hoping they leave a package at the door. Some people say I am a little OCD about that, but I want no doubt that the parcel I sent was signed for. I shouldn't say always signature required. A few DAC members I have no problem trusting. I have known them for years. One DAC member, really wanted a model I was selling. He was short on cash until payday, I sent him the model without being paid yet. I knew he would pay me the second he had the cash, and he did.
