Default C-130A-II, tail number 60528

Reconnaissance aircraft shot down in Armenia Sept. 2, 1958 by four Mig 17s. Strayed off course following the wrong radio frequency. AC pictured bears the same tail number and is a memorial to the 17 dead crewmen. The C-130A had the three bladed props and the 'II' model came with the addition of the radome, I believe. Taken at the National Security Administration headquarters at Ft.Meade, MD last week. The C-130's career continues strong after 50 years - great airplane. Over, Doug
