Hi guys,

The POTUS was in town for a 3 day visit in Malaysia and I was lucky to see VC-25A in action before my eyes! Another item checked off my bucket list!

The following shots were taken yesterday morning at 10:19 AM (GMT+8) at Subang International Airport (SZB) as SAM 29000 accelerated down runway 33 en route to Manila. These are not A.NET quality shots but I do hope you enjoy them..

Nope, I didn't bother to upload them into Anet. The lighting was bad that morning and it was hazy. Plus, I accidentally set the ISO to 400 which made the photos very noisy and the colour was too vivid. I doubt it will pass Anet's stringent QC

I almost forgotten that I also captured shots of SAM 80002. She thundered down the runway 8 minutes after SAM 29000 went airborne. Not the best of shots but I'm very happy to finally being able to see both AF1 and AF2 in person.







To commemorate this, I added the diecast AF1 model (SAM 29000) by Inflight200 in my collection which was acquired back in May'14. It replaces the plastic AF1 by Skymarks which has been part of my collection since 4 years ago. And most recently (last night), I successfully won a bid for the Gemini Jets USAF VC-32A (not SAM 80002 though) AF2 off eBay and she will be arriving in two weeks time. Can't wait to line her up next to my AF1 diecast!

The POTUS visited Malaysia for the second time after his first visit in April 2014.

He was at Turkey a week ago for the G20 summit, followed by a stop at the Philippines after that. Malaysia is his last stop before heading back to the States.

Here's SAM 28000 thundering down runway 33 yesterday afternoon at around 5:15 PM (GMT+8). Not the sharpest of shots. It rained earlier but the rain stopped at 5:00 PM, allowing condition for photography to gradually improve.

The sun came just at the right time when she taxied out of the airbase. Feels nice to have both SAM 28000 (Nov'15) and 29000 (Apr'14) checked off the list.

Thanks, Jan! Any major global summit that is on the card for Canada to host? If there is, you are more than likely to spot the VC-25. Alternatively, the POTUS could very well fly into Canada using the C-32 (still an AF1!). When was the last time AF1 visited Canada?

Anyway, here are some shots of the badass that is capable of hauling some 170,900 lbs of freedom to anywhere in the world, the USAF C-17A Globemaster III McGuire AMC (44130). Landed about an hour after AF1 departed, to fetch the Beast and the Suburbans back to the State..
