Something A Bit Different (CYYT)

So, my airport is not spotter friendly. So I took some photos out there with more focus on the surroundings and lighting as an alternative.

I'm not much of a photographer, just started my course in college as part of my Graphic Design program.

Anyway, equipment is the Canon 60D SLR

C&C Welcome ;)

Wow! It's been a while since I have been to St. John's, Newfoundland. The last time I was there, we still have to walk across the tarmac to get to our Air Nova BAe 146 flight to Halifax, plus the airport is still mostly made out of bricks. Good times! Thanks for sharing the new pics of YYT airport to us! :D Nice compositions. Good luck on your course as well.

This is an excellent composition - love the depth of field and the lighting conditions on the beautiful Boeing!

Your shots are quite interesting. I like the fact that necessity has driven you to look at the subject in a different manner. Believe it or not, but we grow from those sorts of experiences. And after seeing that WJ 737-700, I am SO glad I finally got the Gemini 1:200 version (albeit it is an -800).

Nice work, keep it coming and good luck with the course. I did the Graphic Design course at Sheridan College back in the mid-70s and have never, EVER regretted it. ;)

Yes, I remember the days when I would visit St. John's and I'd wonder off the Air Nova ships via stairs. In the early 2000's, they moved the terminal across the airport and around 2004 completed the terminal. It is now by far one of the most cleanliness and modern smaller airport in the country.

She will be my lift to MCO end of month. Direct, 5h 45 min flight. My poor shoulders! First time on WestJet though, I'm always up for trying new airlines.

Awesome - I've flown WestJet before to Edmonton (if I recall) and it's a good airline!

Good to hear. I've been told their service is above Air Canada's by some; others complain the shoulder space is a bit uncomfortable and the FAs are grumpy. Guess I will find out first hand.

Thanks for the update. Hoping to visit YYT soon. It's really far from Sunny Manila. Cheers!

Great pictures, I love the lighting and the perspectives. For a "not much of a photographer" person, you have some very good shots! :D;)

I hope you enjoy your flight to MCO on WJ!
