Default Aircraft In the New United Livery So Far...

I was just looking trough A.net and came across the first pic of a 763ER in the new UA/CO livery. This got me thinking about posting it here, and then I decided to start a thread for posing all the aircraft in the new livery. I'll try to keep it updated as new planes are painted. As of now, here are pics of all the planes in the new livery. Please feel free to add any you want as new types get painted. And now, the new United Airlines...

Interesting, any idea if or when they will be painting this livery on the 747s?

As far as Wikipedia says there is 1 747-400 painted in this "hybrid" livery!

I don't know how much I'd trust that. Someone also said that there was a 744 out there in these colors a week or two ago, yet no pictures have surfaced of it. I have to believe that A.Net would've been all over this one.

Unless it's been hiding in a hanger for some sort of event.

I considered that possibility, though I'm guessing that it would've been discussed on the A.Net forum by now, and I didn't catch any threads on that subject when I looked through them today.

Really? I think the A319 and the 737-500 are the only aircrafts that pull it off in the mainline fleet.

The 767-200 doesn't look bad either. I think it just works better on pudgier planes

Yeah, mostly because the titles are too short for the rest of the fleet. The poor 753 looks foolish!

Oh haha I don't think the livery is very nice. I just think it doesn't look as unbalanced as the other planes haha.

The best source on the 'net for UA/CO fleet repainting info is the following Airliners.net thread: United/Continental Existing Fleet Upgrade Status #3 — Civil Aviation Forum | Airliners.net

Plenty of employees and people in the know keeping that thread accurate and up-to-date. The first repainted 744 (N127UA) is supposed to be done in a day or so.

JP is great... when the pictures load. My typical JP photo browsing experience consists of several pics loading just fine, followed by pics taking freaking forever to load, and then back to loading quickly. Very hit or miss, and it really turns me off to an otherwise great site.

Oh, and nice 762 pic, John.

The 747 actually looks great in this livery in my opinion. Even with the UNITED title on it now. Well done! It's been how long since the Continental scheme was on a 747?

I agree! Looks good. I like the placement of the gold fuselage stripe: in line with the door sills like the rest of the fleet. On Continental's 747-100s and -200s, the gold stripe was a couple feet higher, just beneath the main deck windowline. I much prefer how UA has done it. Perfect size and placement of the titles as well. Looking forward some more pics! I'd like to see a nice side profile view...

About the 747... the initial picture posted here makes it look like, IMO, the most boring, ridiculous plane in the skies today. But the second picture makes it look...well.... SEXY!
