Two days and no comments or feedback. I don't know why I even bother wasting time to upload shots on here anymore. This sight used to be great a few years ago concerning spotting pics but not anymore, I guess. Hmmm maybe if I was 13 and taking crappy pics with a cell phone, then I could at least get a "omg those r fkn great! lol" out of someone.
I'm done with this site. Later!

Great shots! You just have to give it time for people to reply.

Your response is priceless Big Al. But, it makes me wonder about how members relate to one another over a period of time.
I don't think that 1:1 Scale Commercial Aviation is marginal to DAC because in many ways, it is intertwined with the rest of the forums. Yet, when a member posts most or all of their eggs into one forum, a point will be reached where they reap diminishing returns. And then I have to wonder about their mindset when they cop an attitude as is the case with Justio. I can understand one's specific interest in something, but when situations like this occur, I'm asking myself whether the member has become so wrapped into what they are doing that no one really matters to them anymore.
I know all of us have some sense to be accepted and the like, but damn, this is pathetic.

My response may have been satirical and it also may have been based upon the typical response to a thread like Justin's on many a heavily subdivided internet forum like this one, either about model planes, another one about news and politics or yet another one about sports issues ?
When internet forums like this one started, they did what they did best by attracting the people with a common interest into one single debate and (IMHO) that worked best. I applaud the webmasters for expanding into several worthy forums, but it does kind of dilute the original intention a little bit, in my experience.
What am I trying to say here, I dunno ? What was the question again?

Man, if I got upset every time I posted something and only heard crickets, I'd probably be beating the dog by now. I really thought Justino was more mature than that...only goes to show how much of an "Instant Gratification" society we are.

First, I will say I liked the pictures, especially the 727's.
But I have to agree with you on this. I've posted pictures many times with no response and other times to a lot of response. Timing and other subjects being discussed at the same time has a lot to do with the response. In this case, it's a holiday weekend and a lot of folks are spending time with families and not on the forums. But today, everyone is looking at Justin's pictures and he has blown off.
I do believe it is time to create a Photography forum on DAC. This would be a great place for everyone to display and discuss aviation photography.

I couldn't agree more with what you all said.

Real tomato ketchup Eddie?
Nothing but the best! "I don't know why they call this stuff hamburger helper. It does just fine by itself, huh? I like it better than tuna helper myself, don't you, Clark?"
"you're the gourmet around here, Ed!"
Great shots! Keep 'em coming!!! I like the 727s very much - you just can't beat the classic lines of this old jet! The KC-135A is also a gem. You've gotta love them ol' Boeings...

When I lived in Salina, KS it would be there testing from time to time, but no matter what I did I could never get a picture of it. I either didn't have my camera, or by the time I go t to a photo spot it had left.

In fact that Italian Air Force 767 tanker was doing a lot of testing at Salina too. I do have pictures of it. You had to be somewhere around there. Wichita maybe?

I have to agree. I really wasn't expecting someone who seemed so mature to leave in a rampage over such a little thing. If only he waited a little bit. But I guess some things set people off.

Ok...first of all, thank you for the comments from those who didn't call me an immature, impatient, pathetic person. And for those that now think I'm that type a person...thanks. It's amazing how one little statement can change a person's opinion of someone who has been a positive contributing member of this site for the past 4 years. Yes, this year I haven't been posting as much as I have been due to my commitment to the Air Force, but I do stop in from time to time to let you all see what's been going on in my little corner of the world.
Now...the reason for that little statement from yesterday. This site is the reason I even became interested in aviation photography and is where I honed my skills as a photographer. Members like Jorge, Jay and Andy we're always giving me tips, pointers, and overall advice on shooting in general back when my shots were nothing but crap. Over the past few years, I constantly posted my shots on here and the response was incredible every time I started a thread. It never took 2-3 days for someone to say "great pics" or whatever...holiday or not. But as a photographer who is constantly looking to better himself, when you see the view counter going up and up on your thread but no feedback or comments being posted, it really does make you think if your shots are that good...regardless of what you personally feel.
I know 99% of you don't have the desire to be photographers and will probably never understand what we go through and how much effort we put into a single shot, but that's just a heads up on whats been going on here. I'll put the blame for that comment on the fact that I've been away for most of the year and haven't been as active on here as I should, but this site is also not what it used to be even a year ago.

Hey Justin, My young Jedi.
I think it's all down to the individual member's mood whether to post a comment/critic.
You just have to give it time, In my cases, I would prefer the "views" over kiddy replies like "Great shots". I'm not here to get accepted, only post and share my photos.
Perhaps I have changed a bit, I didn't need to give you feedback, except to tell you that your photos were great. I have nothing to say about your photo skills, you sure have skills! in fact I would be likely to ask about the certain aircraft instead. I hope you understand where I'm getting at. (But I agree, we seem to have lost certain members with an interest in aviation photography over the time..)
Please do keep them coming ! I enjoy it.
While we are at it. Why don't you promote your flickr account as well... ?
One thing I should add is that you are upset, angered, and/or disappointed in the lack of people not being here at DA.C to comment on your photos. Yet, you yourself are not here commenting on anyone else's photos. Lastly, I'll add that you aren't the only one busy here on DA.C. And plus not everyone has the time to spare and view every single thread that goes through this forum.
I've enjoyed the pics you've taken over the last few years, but like many, I don't peruse every thread and I miss some really nice contributions every now and then...plus I've been busy with relatives and visiting in Oklahoma for the last week. Yes, I was surprised at your mini-tantrum and departure...I've always considered you one of the more mature younger members on this site. Hasn't changed my opinion of you, you have a great deal of talent and ambition that I respect. Just surprised, that's all. You aren't going to get lauded right away all the time, but your contributions are appreciated very much.

Hey you know what they say: a picture is worth a thousand words. Now lets do the math. There are 16 pictures you posted. No way in hell I'm writing 16,000 words for those
