Default Etihad Airways - Toronto to Abu Dhabi (Boeing 777-300ER A6-ETF)

Here are some pics from my trip on an Etihad Airways Boeing 777-300ER from Toronto to Abu Dhabi.

Aircraft: Boeing 777-300ER
Registration: A6-ETF
Flight Duration: 11:30 mins
Date: Nov 4, 2010
Dep time: 2250 (Actual 2307)
Arrival time: 1950 (Actual 1820)
Departed: Toronto Rwy 33L
Arrived: Abu Dhabi 31L

TORONTO TO ABU DHABI
Seat back video Welcome screen

Etihad Airways Amenity Kit & Stereo Headphones - Great Headphones!

Flight Data Screen - Taken an hour after departing Toronto

Dinner - Beef Stew with Couscous - Cheese, crackers, Salad dressing & butter come in a seperate box with the background of the main Welcome screen on the seat back video. Also included two types of salads.

Dessert Service - Served after the main dinner meal run is completed. Unique to Etihad Airways!
Bread and Butter pudding with Hot chocolate (Or Tea, coffee, Espresso)

Over the Atlantic

Inflight movies - New Releases section - Landed up watching just one movie (Cyrus)

Mid flight snack - Egg Salad Sandwhich or Tuna Sandwhich. I love Etihad's red plastic glasses with a nice motif on the side which was hard to capture.

Next mid flight snack - Ice Cream or Chocolate Popcorn - Hmm first time I ever ate Chocolate popcorn. Yummy!!

Over the Black Sea approaching the Turkish Coastline. It was very bright outside and warm by the window. Most window shades were down. I had to keep mine down too as you can see in the pic above it was very bright with it up.

Trying to drown out the screaming baby a few seats behind me, with some soothing classical music

Coming close to the end of the journey, with the sun setting - Somewhere over the Persian Gulf

Last meal on the 11:30 min flight - served an hour out of Abu Dhabi

Very close to Abu Dhabi

The Etihad Boeing 777-300ER (A6-ETF) at Abu Dhabi. The only decent pic I could get. But be prepared for mouth watering pics of the same jet on the way back lol

Looks like you had a nice flight. I'm still amazed at all that stuff you get in Coach compared to say AA (what a joke!). For example, you have to buy little tiny ear buds in Coach on AA and you only get the Bose ear-muffs in Business/First.

P.S. Never thought I'd see the word "Dallas" on a Etihad map

I didn't even notice that....Come to think of it that is not a very comforting sight to see on board an aircraft when flying over the Atlantic lol

That is interesting. Not sure if people traveling on an airliner across the Atlantic Ocean should be reminded about travel disasters.

I see a lot of food being served, but my question is can the serve a great ham sandwich?

Oh, How's The Food?
Never Mind, I just Saw The Word "Kraft". That Tells Me Everything.
The Only Thing That "Looks" Half Decent Is The Goat Curry, But The Rice Looks Like It Might Be Bland.
RThe Pasta Looks Like Something That Might Of Come Out Of The Can.
Nice Trip, Though.

Why not an actual trip report for that though? Or did you swim across to Karachi?

You can't have too much of a good thing. Never flown on a 777, largest airplane ever was a 767 to Istanbul on DL.

Though I have not had the chance to fly Etihad as of yet, I was very fortunate enough to get a behind the scenes tour of their entire operation last February..It was a great chance to see the inner workings of this airline and their maintenance in Abu Dhabi...I was also amazed at the private terminal the Royal family/King has at their disposal...one jetway coming out of a massive building...larger then most smaller domestic terminals here in the states!
