Default Special Liveries

Post your favourites.

Mine has to be Ecuatoriana's Sun Bird by far:

And her sisters:

And of course the aircraft that inspired the liveries above, Braniff's "Flying Colors" DC-8 by Alexander Calder:

Bill-ay, the BA Negus is a gorgeous livery. I'm probably committing heresy in saying this but it suits the 757 much better than the Landor scheme.

mhanasri, IF200 released the Ecuatoriana Sun Bird in 2005. It's in the database here. I've seen a few floating around on eBay from time to time for reasonable prices too.

Sub-Zero, I've never seen that Air NZ 737 before, very interesting!

Keep them coming!

The special liveries of today don't do a thing for me...especially the goofball Asian schemes with cartoon characters all over them. SIA Tropical was nice....

The ONLY time a cartoon character was EVER cool on an airplane:

I disagree. That aircraft has a nice use of Donald Duck, however this was also a great plane in my opinion.

I definitely agree re:

Continental - Peter Max
Singapore - Tropical (wish I hadn't sold that model, oh well)
Qatar - red Asian Games (the only Asian Games model I kept)
Malaysia - Hibiscus (and also the FOS)
Virgin Atlantic - Birthday Girl
But man, I love that PSA 727!!

Too bad that they decided to use the color of the polluted Hong Kong harbor.
