Default Heathrow Spotting Day 1

I'm so itching to go again today but I'm not sure if I should. I'll be there all day Sunday as well.

Amazing pictures of these birds arrivng at London Heathrow..
This airport is a must for all the ever-fans of aviation and airlines!
It's funny to see that the participating airliners and parts of my model airport-
London-Bexley Intl' Airport (such as KE B747 or QR B773),
and the ones I haven't gotten yet, are my planned boughts for the near future such as KLM B737 and SAS models!

Keep on bringing us great shots!

LHR has the aviation fashion runway of the world. Any airline that receives a brand new a/c, the first destination they will send it to show it off is LHR.

They'll send it to LHR or JFK first. BTW, where do you spot at LHR, Moin? I haven't been availible to find a good spot at Heathrow.

There are 2 prime locations. One is by the roundabout in front of the BA/BMI hangars and the other is what is known as Myrtle Avenue, just outside Hatton Cross station in an open field.

Some great shots there! Especially Etihad's new A333, Egyptair's 777-300ER & PIA's new livery 777

Did you manage to catch Royal Jordanian's new A330 or Air France's A380 by any chance?

Tomorrow I'm hoping to catch the AF A380.

Yes QR flies to LHR at least 3 to 4 times a day as does EK. One A346 and A330 land within 15 mins of each other daily just after 1pm. The QR A319 was a Qatari royal flight.

Fantastic shots Moin. Loving the Arik Air A345. I'm curious, was it crowded with spotters in the area you were at?

It sure was. We were all at the roundabout during the first half, then around 2.45pm everyone walked over to the bus stop to take them to Hatton Cross because they change runways at 3pm.
