Default Erj-190

I have to say, this is one of my favorite planes to fly on. This plane is a very comfortable ride. Here are some pictures from my ride on a Midwest EMB-190 from LAX-DEN this weekend.

yeah it is indeed a nice aircraft. We also have Paramount Airways operating an EMB jet, although that is the -175 with an all Business Class configuration. Inspite of having a very small network here in India, the experience flying with them was indeed a nice one... I flew with them last year and it was memorable.. heres a pic of the Paramount ERJ-175 model that I also managed to acquire..

Nice model. I wish the E Jets would be released in 1/400.

Yes it is indeed an amazing aircraft, so personal and comfy! And you feel it even more when you connect on it, after getting off a Boeing 777-200LR, -300ER or 744

However, I suffered the worst ear ache on it when descending...something I don't usually suffer on other aircraft types.

Yeah, thanks, I had a brain fart. I realized this after I hit the submit button, but what the hell.

Nice shots, Tupi. Yeah, those Embraers are sweet rides. VERY comfortable compared to even mainline types. In fact, I flew on a Delta 737-800 from ATL to MSP, then a Compass 175 over to BIL late last year, and the difference in comfort was extremely noticeable.

The seats are the 190 are almost as good as some FC seats I've had on other airlines.

I agree Tupi. Flew on AZUL E-195 twice and on KLM 190 once and loved all flights. The aircrafts are very comfort and the noise is very low.

And talking about our hobby I also would like to see them in 1/400 scale.

seating/windows on the emb-190 (Jetblue)....go for the rows in the back of the a/c. The windows line up perfectly there. Note Rudi's pic of the more forward area....you will have to crane yourself forward to see outside.

Well, the pilots love it, the passengers lover it but the mechanics i talked to can't stand it!!!

Problems

1- Full flaps is WAY TO STRONG!!!!

2- Strong yoke/opposite rudder caused pilots leg to discontinue yoke from making desired turn. Major flaw most ERJ pilots will tell you about.

And last!!! IT'S TO quiet!!! I Shouldn’t be able to have a conversation with my friend well its Pumping out the power!!!!

The More I See These Here At YYZ, The More I Dislike Them. Air Canada Especially Doesn't Photograph Well.
However The Midwest Looks Nice. Haven't Seen Them Here In Years. Mix Of DC-9-14/15, MD-80 And Dornier 328-300s.

I think we were there on the same day. I've looked through some of the photos I took and I have a picture of those two Frontier Q400s down at the end that I took from Terminal B. I never went to Terminal A though.

In your pic here you can see the two Frontier Q400s down at the end. And you can see the same two sitting in the same relative area in mine.

Were you at the end with all the UA regional jets or the end where Continental and US Airways have their gates?

This was the plane that would later fly me home.

I've had nothing but great rides in the Embraers, but I do miss the BACs, Convairs, Fokkers, baby nines and 72's they have replaced.

I remember seeing this plane. The reason I remember it, is it was in need of a new paint job, so I did not take a picture of it.

Yeah we got the one plane in the line of United planes that didn't have the new scheme.

It's been like 7 years since they changed their scheme and I still get stuck on the battleship scheme. Not that I don't like the battleship scheme I just would like to fly on the new scheme more often.

And yes its paint job was pretty bad. It needed a new paint job bad.

Yes but one thing I noticed, and my pictures can prove it. Most if not all of the United planes still in the battleship scheme have the new engine cowlings.

Here is another example. This one too needs new paint. But unfortunately this plane as well as the one I flew on will probably never see the beautiful new United scheme. The next scheme painted on this plane will probably be white, gold, grey, and blue.

From what I've heard, the E-190s are nice, comfortable jets, a good size for a regional. It's not like the ERJs and CRJs, I would take an E190 or 175 etc over one of them smaller T-tail regionals any day. I still have yet to fly on an E190 but I might this summer on my way to Miami for a cruise. I still like them even though they have become an EXTREME eyesore at YYZ. Atleast the Air Canada ones. Can't wait to fly in one.

Not only are they everywhere at airports, but with my luck on Air Canada, I take them constantly. I've been on 6 or 7 since they've been operating. I was actually excited to take the E175 to New York just because it wasn't an E190 Even though they are practically the same thing.

I flew in one of these last year from YYZ-RIC roundtrip with a stop in CLE. So I've flown on 4 of CO Express' ERJ-145s.

on the YYZ-CLE, CLE-RIC and RIC-CLE flights, I nearly blew chunks all over the tiny cabin. It was not a good time, we were getting tossed around back and forth. The Aircraft was surprisingly comfy even for it's small size.

Actually new or rebuilt engines with the new colors on cowlings. The engines get changed out faster then the paint on the plane.

That makes sense. But I hadn't ever thought about it that way.

I have no idea what this means, especially #2. Although I think there is a limitation of yoke movement due to the pilot's leg getting in the way when opposite rudder is applied. Sounds like an anthropometric problem, which you would have been picked up during validation and verification.
