I love FRA, I have been there six times and vividly recall heaps of Lufthansa aircraft. On one occasion I spent 11 hours there between flights...bliss.

Good Spotting. I Remember As A Young Boy Spotting At FRA.
It Appears There's Still An Open Air Observation Deck?
No, that's not true.. Currently you have four observation decks at FRA.. Two at the runways, one at T1 (partly closed due to contructions at the moment) and the other one at T2 (where the pics were taken)..

Because Our Relatives Had To Work, We Would Be Dropped Off Early In The AM. It Was So Nice To Watch The Silouettes Of All Those 727s As The Sun Came Up. Our Flight Back To Canada Would Be Close To Noon Or Mid Afternoon. So We Had 5-6 Hours Spotting Time Before Heading Back To Montreal.
Arriving From Canada Posed Some Interesting Taxi Spotting Too. Most Times Our Flight Would Arrive 8:00AM Right At "Rush Hour" VC-10s,707s, 737s, Viscounts, Handley Pages, 727s And DC-9s Galore Interrupted Occasionally With DC-8s.
Weiredest Liveries Ever Too.

I remember back in 2006, when I was at FRA (AT FRA-YYZ (A310)) I was at Terminal 3 I think, at the East side and while walcking through the terminal there was a an observation deck, but it was closed due to people throwing stuff onto aircraft. I remeber seeing an Icelandair 757 back then too... Good time..

Most of them look a bit artificial 'cos of the strong sharpness. The only photo, that looks naturally, is the Luxair Dash....
Apart from that, I also like the variety of aircraft in FRA and I really enjoyed watching the photos.
