KLM ad from the 1970s
Does any one know which magazine this ad was in? I have tried finding the ad on eBay, but thought maybe I'd have better luck finding it if I knew the magazine it was placed in. That way, I could just buy the entire magazine if it isn't too expensive. (And yes, I know who that is in the ad.)

Maybe peeps on here do not collect magazine ads. I like that this one has the 747 shown.

I was rather hoping some one on here HAS the ad, so they can tell me the magazine and date of the issue...

Re: KLM ad from the 1970s
This ad was running in 1977 at the time of the Tenerife disaster. I can't track down what magazine it was in but I believe it was a widespread ad.
I'll keep looking!

I've read it is from KLM's Inflight magazine.
You could mail Project Tenerife.com here

Re: KLM ad from the 1970s
You can check this out
http://books.google.ca/books?id=YdYk...age&q=&f=false
It mentions the advertising was issued in it's inflight magazines. So it's basically the inflight magazine of that month that you should be looking for.
" Van Zanten had worked for KLM since 1947. The company featured him in its advertising , including in the issue of its in-flight magazine onboard that day. ..."

Thanks, guys. If it is indeed ONLY from an in-flight magazine, I am screwed. lol. They can be pretty tough to find. Oh, well.

In addition to Readers Digest, I also recall seeing the same ad in Newsweek, the copy of which I still have lying around somewhere but it would be an impossible task to find.
