Default Best Commercial Airliner Magazine?

Anyone have any thoughts about which magazine is the best for those of us interested in commercial airliners/aviation? "Airliner World"? "Airliners"? Is there another magazine I don't know about that's better?

I think it's personal preference ... from a quality of production standpoint, for sure "Airliner World" ... it's also more comprehensive I think and more "professionally" compiled. But I also like the domestic version of "Airways" as well ... just my two centavos!

No way, hows about a discount subscription. Stephen Piercey was my hero before I was even a teenager. This is the exact point my retro phase kicked in. I met TM-J once, in the 80s, but he wasnt in a good mood and I left very disappointed, wishing i hadnt met him. I hope his mood has improved.

Aviation Week is a great one for general airline, and aeronautical info. I wish it was thicker though. Flying is decent too

I'd like to hear your comments about why you aren't man enough to start your own thread by first introducing yourself and providing some basic facts about your relationship with the magazine. Until you do that, I will call you Willy.

Well... thank you for your welcome to the group!! Willy's fine if you insist, but I prefer Bill.

I was unaware of the etiquette. I was simply making sure that there weren't rumors out there that Airliners was not around, and this forum seemed to be a prime source of that.

In terms of introduction- I'm Bill Wetmore, I'm friends with Robert Christensen, and I'm the brand new "Director of Interactive" trying to help Airliners get more active online. I'm also friends of Roger Jarman of the Historical Flight Foundation; I help them as well, and am a big fan of their efforts to restore the EAL DC7B.

I'll probably not start a thread of my own as my main goal is to support the magazine, however I'll gladly try to respond to any questions you have.

Airliner World, 13-15$CAD, a bit pricy but it's a good read, and Airports too.
