Re: Airbus news at Paris Air Show

787 Wings a Virtual Perfect Fit
PARIS -- The composite wings of Boeing's 787 Dreamliner were an almost perfect fit -- better, in fact, than on any airplane Boeing has ever built -- when they were recently connected to the plane's composite body at the Everett plant.
"The airplane is fitting together very well," Scott Carson, chief executive and president of Boeing Commercial Airplanes, told journalists on the opening day of the Paris Air Show.
"We are delighted," he said. "It has bolted up really, really well and I believe you will see that on July 8."
That's the day when Boeing will introduce the first assembled 787 during a celebration at the Everett factory. The event will be broadcast live around the world.

You know what ? I'm very happy things are going smoothly for the 787 (and I mean it), as what I love are airplanes, whatever name they wear. Now Boing opted to start a war some years ago in order to bring down the A380 program, seen as another major threat to their fading leadership. It's their job, they want to sell their products. But please don't swallow everything they say only because of a flag...

with all these delays; going back, was there any airplane that was not delayed for some reason?

Good point. Most were, and Boeing's not less than others.
