Default Flower Power Is Back!

As part of Aloha Airlines' celebration of their 60th anniversary, they have painted one of their 737-200s in the 1960s Flower Power livery and it will start flight operations tomorrow. No pictures on the airlines photo sites yet but the Honolulu Star Bulletin had the attached photo of Aloha's CEO with a couple of flight attendants wearing the flower power uniforms.

For those unfamiliar with this livery, look in the picture database in the gemini Jets section under Aloha Airlines.

Wednesday, Aloha held a party in their hanger celebrating the new retro plane and with period cars and uniforms. The retro plane is a 737-200 just leased by Aloha (N823AL) and came delivered in the Fun Bird livery.

Pictures of the party are available at:

Default bump

The gal on the right in both pictures is a hottie.

On topic: Aloha should have stuck with this scheme forever.
Hawaiian should have also stuck with their 70's scheme forever.

I think that plane should do a U.S. promotional tour of all 50 states!
