This, gentlemen, is true aviation history by any literal means. As the narrative says: it was the time when HAJ/EDDV played a major role among german airports. Very easy to see when you see how cramped the apron was in these days.
Aviation in these days simply attracted more people, but nowadays it got rather obsolete - as most people simply regard it a simply way to get from A to B. And discussing aviation with somebody not being into the topic is mostly talking about emissions and alternate fuel options for the sake of nature recovery (which is not bad, but that is what the conversation mostly turns to be like when it comes to aviation today - people don't get exited over aviation-related themes anymore).

It is comparable to rockmusic: Metallica and GNR (to name the most well known bands) played huge concerts in front of 100,000 people in the '90s. Well, you don't have that anymore, as Rock/Metal suffers kinda shadow existence and most people seem to have changed their mind when it comes to rockmusic nowadays.

Great video which absolutely captures the most interesting airframes.
I just wish there would be original audio with it. I know, that rarely ever was the case back then.
Engine sound is most important to me, I can't get enough.

Any chance there's the actual video to go with that audio? I'm asking because the audio is mostly JT3D sound and I love that engine (and the 707)

Thanks Phantom II

my friend and old colleague Dieter and I was working 3 days and nights

to "snip" sound pieces best as possible to the the different scene parts....
Searching and copying for some seconds of the movie needs a lot of time
and concentration lost after more than 36 hrs of searching, copying and
setting ....
at the end, we corrected just the last scene with the Condor 747 take off,
to have a good final sound... it was impossible to find a long runnig sound especially to cover correct the Hawker Harrier part...
so we must put the same 4 times to fill the complete scene of the Harrier...

hope you excuse my bit incorrect english...

kind regards
