I was hoping the article was also about getting rid of the pilots for good, having robotic AI for flight attendants and having not to pay extra fees for your carry on luggage from now on.. that would've been far more interesting article if you ask me..

Wonderfull! Pull de CB for the Landing gear transfer unit, kill the left engine and see how an 'fully automated go around' will work out... (don't know how the hook up is in a A350, but a 737 will be in big trouble).
I do understand the driving force to get rid of pilots by the ones who have to pay the salaries. But in the end flight safety will remain in the hands of a human being ;-)

I think this will be a very hard sell with the vast majority of the flying public, at least for now. But it will be heaven sent for the bean counters that’s for sure.

Like everything else, under normal situations I'm sure it works great but add a little weather or something abnormal and you're done.
