As several people commented on the article...not to mention what airports have spent upgrading to accommodate the A380. Aesthetically, I dislike the aircraft but I'd still like to fly on one someday.

I guess Air France should have never ordered the 'Flying Whale' in the first place, they had a whole fleet of the more efficient Boeing 777, both the 200 and 300 ER.. so i never understood why they also had to add the much larger A380 to their fleet as well, makes no sense..

Air France just added a 'phantom' A380 to the fleet, the purchase price being €381 ea. RIP, Doug

I don't think A380s are going anywhere any time soon, as ANA is a brand new customer with one more left to accept, and Emirates still has eight left to go.

Sadly, I wish the same could be said about the 747-8i. At least they have the 747-8f to keep em busy for the time being!

Well Lufthansa still has their 14 A388s as well as 19 747-8s.
