SAS new livery 2019. The red colour is gone, silver and dark blue are the new look. it looks somehow known. LOL

here is a poll, your opinion please.

Horrible. This new minimalist trend is killing my interest in aviation. R.I.P. yet another airline. God awful.

Me too - gone are the traditional shields of each country, replaced by 'a medal of honour' ribbon strip. Also the silver lettering on the white fuselage will all but disappear in certain lighting. Clearly cutting down on colours and looks like the same designer as the boring new Lufthansa livery. :rolleyes:

The stripe on the engine nacelle is so forward, it looks like the robbed the inlet cowl from another plane. They should either paint the entire nacelle the same color or move the stripe back like Virgin Australia.

Lufthansa's Scandinavian cousin... I'm sure I'll get used to it, but man, these airlines are certainly getting more boring with their color selections.

The silver engines might look good, kind of retro, but we need to see the real aircraft first. The rest doesn't seem great,but anything is better than their current livery.

+1. I am getting used to it too, but only because it appears to be the new reality these days. Even with just blue and white you can be more creative.

I do like the silver SAS billboard, but from a distance, the plane will definitely look like Lufthansa. :(

What’s with the trend of a Eurowhite livery where the tail colors extend to the bottom of the fuselage? Lufthansa, Iberia, Aer Lingus, Emirates, etc. The skies are less and less creative. Sure makes me miss the days of the cheatline. Back then, even the logos were really cool.

The Blue Rising scheme was beautiful. Wish they had kept that instead of the Continental livery.

The 747 wore that livery really well! I had forgotten about that one, even though I’m old enough to have been around when it was flying.

I guess we all will get used to it and more or less appreciate the new livery in a year or two. For the moment I am not to excited.

Love it. At long last a new livery that’s actually an improvement on the previous one. My all time favourite SAS livery is still the 1960s ‘Viking longboat’ livery. The Viking fleet names were a nice touch too.

I like it quite a lot. I don't think it looks generic. If anything, it looks sleeker and more modern with an appropriate amount of color without going too "eurowhite". For comparison, I do not like Lufthansa's new livery mainly for the reason I like this new SAS livery: it has a 3rd color that makes it stand out. If Lufthansa had included a gold/yellow, it would have served itself better. I think the silver adds an extra dimension to the livery. The previous livery was good too, though the orange felt somewhat out of place at times.

Like what they did with the SAS billboard, made it look more like a watermark instead of something that jumps out at you.

This new livery is way better than the previous one. More color from the tail onto the empennage, and the huge silver titles look very classy. I fully dig it.
