I have to say it looks more underwhelming flying over than the pictures I've seen of them on the tarmac. The dark blue does look almost black.
DLH should have kept more of the yellow.
I also agree, the 'new' grey/white logo on dark blue disappoints, it's just not that eye-catching or appealing than before.. from a distance it's hard to tell what airline it is but if you saw the yellow logo on dark blue you knew immediately it was Lufthansa..
I WANT TO BELIEVE...
...that one day I will see many more colorful JC Wings MD-11 models and the long-awaited Gemini 200 TWA twin stripes 727-200!
I always fly America's favorite airline: Southwest Airlines and the World's oldest KLM!
Pariswas the greatest city on earth! Vive la France! Tokyo 2020!
I happen to really like Lufthansa's updated livery. Clean, modern, and minimal. Boring, perhaps, but aesthetically pleasing nonetheless.
+2 Have you seen the B777F, A350 and A340-600 in the new colors? Beautiful!

Indeed! The A350 is particularly nice in the new livery. On the topic of the A350, I've really come around to liking that plane, finally. It was "meh" for me for so long, as with many of the newest generation of cookie cutter twins, but I am appreciating its gracefulness and clean lines. I think I like it better than the 787 just from an aesthetics perspective. I'll always be a fan of 70s/80s/90s era airliners, but the new stuff is growing on me.

You have great taste in cars. Nothing beats a late '80s/early'90s Porsche 911.
