Default Observation of New DLH Livery in Flight

Tons of pics of all their fleet in the new livery. But finally got to see a B748 and A388 fly over yesterday sporting the new look. Another DLH B748 also flew by, but in the old colors.

I have to say it looks more underwhelming flying over than the pictures I've seen of them on the tarmac. The dark blue does look almost black.

As an aside, AF65 also flew over, and must say the latest livery is still quite stunning to see.

DLH should have kept more of the yellow.

I also agree, the 'new' grey/white logo on dark blue disappoints, it's just not that eye-catching or appealing than before.. from a distance it's hard to tell what airline it is but if you saw the yellow logo on dark blue you knew immediately it was Lufthansa..

I happen to really like Lufthansa's updated livery. Clean, modern, and minimal. Boring, perhaps, but aesthetically pleasing nonetheless.

Well if you know anything about BMWs, there is an equivalent thing to the new DLH livery. The Bangle Butt. Look it up.

That is what the new livery is. Just doesn't work.

Agreed.

This is the last proper BMW IMO.

+2 Have you seen the B777F, A350 and A340-600 in the new colors? Beautiful!

Nice BMW Tony but let's be honest here, if we're going to talk German Sport cars than nothing beats the 1980's Porsche 930 aka 911 Turbo or the famous Carrera..

Indeed! The A350 is particularly nice in the new livery. On the topic of the A350, I've really come around to liking that plane, finally. It was "meh" for me for so long, as with many of the newest generation of cookie cutter twins, but I am appreciating its gracefulness and clean lines. I think I like it better than the 787 just from an aesthetics perspective. I'll always be a fan of 70s/80s/90s era airliners, but the new stuff is growing on me.

You have great taste in cars. Nothing beats a late '80s/early'90s Porsche 911.

Well, of course the 930 Turbo wins! Nothing beats the whale tail icon of the '80s. I was just referring to the bubble-butt comment thing about BMW. Lol

But since you brought up the ultimate Porsche of them all, we cannot lay this to rest without acknowledging the totally rad aftermarket kits that soon arrived.
