Beautiful footage. Hoping to stay in the new TWA hotel in the near future, great terminal!

I would say the best part of flying in the 1970's was all those friendly attractive stewardesses you met.. now when you fly they look more like women in business suits ready to help you open a bank account rather than helping to your seat..

For me the best part of flying in the 70s was not having to go through security.

Haha, you are both correct! Though, I was born in '75 so I didn't have the privilege. I'm a Deregulation-Era kid.

Let's not forget the lovely girls of PSA. Lots of footage in the video, but this is one of my favourite stills.

My current favourite is, of course, Virgin Atlantic. Absolutely love the red.

I'm also a sucker for attractive females in red uniform as well.. i use to fly Dutch airline Martinair frequently to visit my family in the Netherlands and i remember their flight attendants also had cool looking red uniforms, similar to Virgin Atlantic ones.. i believe Air China & Aeroflot also have similar red style uniforms..

Wow this is awesome. Pure gold! Before my time but I LOVE the 1970s, and those uniforms. Great stuff, that stock footage was amazing. Thanks for sharing!
