I think it’s sad that the yellow is gone now. It will be interesting to see how long it takes them to repaint the whole fleet and how the A380will look in this livery. I think it should suit the A350 well though.

They say the first 40 planes will be repaint this year. The rest of the fleet, 280 planes (LH owns a fleet of total 320 planes) until 2025/26.!
Enough work.!

Wish they had kept the yellow and maybe made it like a fluorescent yellow to go with that blue. Also agree engines painted would add more color.
Oh well
Shame to see both the yellow and grey no longer included. As a 748 collector it's nice to see a new livery but this one looks less eye catching than it's predecessor.

Man it's so boring, it's like a low cost subdivision of Lufthansa. Think Joon meets Atlas, meets UTA, meets Polar, meets Air Atlanta cargo. All the current talk coming out of Lufthansa's design gurus about 'minimalism' etc is just 'emperor's new clothes' talk to me.

I was thinking the same thing. I like the tail,...but an all white fuselage? A bit to similar to many other airlines in my view.
Dunno if it will differentiate it from other airlines from a distance?

Like the new livery. Have to see it in person though..Agreed that blue engines would have added a nice touch to it.

New livery looks bland and cold. Not very welcoming.
On the rendering posted above the color is still a decent blue, but on the actual photos the blue looks almost black, in fact it's a depressing color they chose.
Despicable!!! When I had heard a new Lufthansa livery was coming, I was really hoping it couldn't be worse than their current 'Eurowhite' livery...but it IS! Removing the yellow from their logo is a bad move!

could have been better... not bad but not great IMO
From the thread over on Airliner.net... I really like this livery idea... this would look amazing in real life
Wow, that's actually impressive, colors are sophisticated and not tacky. Too bad they didn't go with this.
I like the tail design, but without LH doing anything else, their new livery looks bland, generic, and lifeless. The yellow could have been evolved into a gold color. They just look like any other Euro airline now.
Actually I find it ok. It's not a revolution but a evolution of the old scheme, as Lufthansa itself stated. And the darker and greener shade of blue (perhaps RAL 5011?) is in my humble opinion very pleasant.
It was time to change. The last livery lasted from the mit-1980ies until 2018, the one before from 1967 until about 1987.

Definitely not a huge improvement. But I like the approach to give the Lufthansa corporate design a more sophisticated and fine design with a premium color choice (combination of silver and dark blue always look great). It accentuates Lufthansa own aspiration to get recognised as a premium carrier. One of the better eurowhite liveries. Also thumbs up for white wings, engines and the continuous use of the Helvetica font.
IMO, a real waste of money. There’s nothing wrong with the present livery. To me it’s always exuded an air of efficiency and professionalism, two great German traits. Still, at least it’s not quite as bland as the liveries of Finnair and Iberia following their rebrandings, but it’s close.
Neil.

Actually there is one good thing about the tail markings. A couple months ago I bought a blue long sleeve tee shirt with "Lufthansa" and the crane logo printed in white. At the time I was a little bummed the lettering was white.
Now the shirt is more color accurate. I was ahead of my time
