Too bad. They should have put a wicked looking dragon logo on their tail! That would've been cool.

The designers of the modern rebranding of the airlines seem to be working on the principle of least creativity , most money for it , and give a great presentation when it goes to launch - and a early finish on Friday (Having worked out the concept of the design between 9 and 10 AM-and finalised it and approved it between 10.30 and 12.30)

I do think however, the models of NC Cathay Pacific and Cathay Dragon will be finding premium display space, side by side, in my cabinet.

I like the new liveries on these SWIRE Group aircraft.

Yep. Well aware of that; just wanted to see visually what could have been. Cheers! T7

I have to say, I'm really disappointed with the direction the airline is headed. Currently mired in financial hardships with a rocky looking future unless they make some big changes. These two livery updates also look horrible and do not enhance the companies supposed premium identity. 10 abreast in Y is also coming to the 77W fleet whether people like it or not. The frequent flyer community is also very unhappy with the Marco Polo overhaul which has striped even higher tier members of perks and rewards. It's clear they are no longer a 5 star carrier and need to make significant changes in order to return to that company.

That will be utterly dreadful for CX to put 10 abreast in their T7s!
Agree with your post on all points.

Are they still headed that direction? Even with fuel prices dipping so low? That would suck. They'd become like AirFrance

Greetings, have a look at this. Personally, I prefer the wider seat for comfort.

Yeah, wider seats are great and its sad any time you see a great airline moving toward higher density seating... just like every other airline. Too bad they're not increasing legroom to make up for the narrower seats. I think I'd rather have an extra inch of legroom than an inch of seat width. I could be wrong though. I'm flying CX out of Newark in May, so I'll find out if I could deal with a narrower seat or not. Haha
