Default Air Canada begins cracking down on huge carry-on luggage!

Well, I must applaud Air Canada for their efforts to crack down on passengers who think it's ok to bring oversized carry on luggage. All the best with their initiative! Cheers! T7

It is about time. Nothing more frustrating watching flight crews battle the over head bins trying to close them with the over sized carry on pieces. With the over size it takes away from space for those who follow the rules.

Interesting topic. I imagine Air Canada charges for the first bag (like almost all airlines)? So, people carry on large bags which should be in the cargo bay - the airlines are making life difficult for their cabin crews and pax by gouging. But then on the free checked baggage airlines, there are the guys who lug on big bags anyway, so they won't have to wait at the carousel. And some lug on two large bags, one of them being one of the two allowed 'small personal items'. It's real theater, but as you say, a pain for those who do try to follow the rules. Up, up, and Away, Doug
