There seems to be many problems with the dreamliner. I wouldn't really want to fly on it. Its abit of a fail…

Apparently, lately, the pilots cannot lower the flaps more then 1 degree. I'm surprised Boeing haven't grounded them and found out whats wrong with them.

I'm pretty sure there's a flap fail/assymetric extension override on the 787...

Wouldn't be surprised if the panel was accidentally - on purpose - temporarily latched as a statement against the airline/Boeing to throw more gas on the fire of Dreamliner's teething problems. Let's see what happens when the A-350 enters service. It may have problems as well.

RBA flight from Brunei-KL was delayed on the return trip due to engine trouble.

There are so many scenarios with this panel "failure" that do not necessarily reflect on the BOEING design. This occurance is more than likely a human error issue with the AI mntc staff or Boeing support. Engines are not directly a Boeing problem either, depending on the nature of the technical issue. Once again the engine mfr or AI mntc staff probably will be the culprit. Guess how many problems are experienced on RR, GE & PW engines world wide daily. Some last 30 minutes some last last 30 hours. As usual, many jump to conclusions that are neither logical or technically accurate. More details are needed for any conclusion ...and those are best reached by professionals...not journalists writing stories to draw attention to their newspaper/mag/blog.
