Thumbs up Let me "tape" that for ya!

Hi all,

On a recent flight in NZ with Jet Star, something grabbed my attention and thought to take a pic and share it with you.
While this might do the "trick" temporarily. I doubt it should be used as a fix.

Picture from N2 Engine of A320:

What are you thoughts?

Duct tape fixes everything. Just ask Red Green.

Looks temporary to make sure the door is correctly attached. I am not a mechanic but I wouldn't worry about it.

Aft of the intake.....Duck it!
If the door should rip off it won't FOD up the engine.
But look out below!!

The latches look secure and streamline so it could just be an oversight by the paint shop or corrosion control. Maybe a forgotten seal from a wash job.

All planes look like absolute garbage when you get up close to them.

Artic is correct. All planes look like hell when you get up close to them. Thats speed tape. Used alot of times for a temporary repair issued along with Enginering Authoriztion, or ERA for short to allow for the type of repair. Also in the ERA is another section for the permanent repair to be accomplished within the allotted time frame. By the way, that tape is used for all kinds of repairs up and down the airplane, temporary of course.
