Default Iberia New Livery

Oops, looks like Iberia felt left out from all the utterly pathetic new livery action.

The new scheme has been confirmed but is delayed until things at the airline improve.

I don't like their current livery either, but it's much more intriguing then whatever this is supposed to represent.

Already thought they're livery was the lowest of the low, now I'm finding out there's lower.

First JAL, now this. We seem to be fast losing the art of the stylish, individual, emotional and imaginative livery.

It is real as far as I know. Would make my day to find out I'm wrong though.

I disagree, the new Air Pacific livery is georgous. Far better than the previous one in my opinion.

Very bland and unappealing.
I would much rather take their current/soon-to-be-old livery than this any day.

More boring white planes. And no iconic "iB" logo to speak of. Dumb. Dumb. Dumb. Like United dropping its "tulip" U logo. Continental forgoing its "contrails/meatball" logo. TWA blowing up its "double globes" logo.

Attention all young artists: putting your fresh stamp on a well-known brand does NOT mean you should obliterate all remnants of the past. I shudder to think what the much-anticipated new AA livery will look like. Nothing can top gleaming bare-metal aircraft. Not even silver paint.

Some people over on airliners.net think this isn't the newly-proposed IB livery. I hope they're right- the tail isn't bad, but the Eurowhite fuselage on every airline's new paint job is getting tiresome. JAL's new livery looks unfinished.

But AA's new livery won't be Eurowhite- it'll be "Amerigrey!"

huh, now that we've seen the AA one, it's hard to say which is worse.

maybe AA is better - the AA tail is awful, but the entirety of IB is awful

I don't know much about this topic, but after reading through it I went to Iberia's facebook page to see if I could find anything on it.

A gentlemen there posted the same livery concept as above and said this:

"I hope this never becomes reality. The current livery is so symbolic for Spain."

To which the airline replied:

"Hello (person's name here), the livery will not change, only the aircraft interiors. Kind regards."

So others may know more on the topic than I do, but at least form what they said on facebook to the guys post it seems that the livery isn't changing.

Yeah, I don't see it from any legit source either. Is this a case where somebody drew up a 'what if' livery for fun, and it got passed along as a real thing?

What the F is up with yet another "tail dip" scheme? Another MS paint epic fail. There are now about twenty airlines with this " ten years ago" design.

Not impressed. They took a dozen steps backwards. There is nothing wrong with their current livery, it's better that they keep it than replace it with this. This is not the Iberia we know. In fact, this looks a lot like Finnair's new "livery", I hope this isn't becoming a Oneworld trend, and hopefully BA will never ever have a scheme that looks this bad. First JAL, then Finnair, now Iberia...

Yes, It appears as if a worrying epidemic of bland livery's are sprouting on all corners of the globe- I find myself asking what are the CEOs and marketers of these airlines thinking about their brand images when they degrade fine liveries? cost-cutting? at the expense of brand recognition? shame, and these people call themselves 'graphic designers" pffft......

Not necessarily. Please note this is a pre-delivery test flight aircraft at Toulouse with French test reg. Often test flights are made with incomplete liveries, especially if Iberia are not ready to unveil their new livery.

I like it, it's really something new.. A bit like a CIA hybrid..

Nah, i can't believe that the IB crown logo is gone!? They will look like IB has merged with QF!? Shame on you oneworld! Your new liveries all suck: Finnair, Malaysia, Iberia, JAL, American. I wonder when BA and CX will repaint their 90s schemes with an all-white..
