Default Photos - On the Flightpath to LHR 17/06/12

Hey everyone. I've just moved and everytime we visited the place before buying the flightpath to LHR was further away (obviously landing on the other runway now i think about it). Anyway a week goes by and all of a sudden they switched and the planes were a lot closer. Well tbh it was hours and hours of plane p0rn for me, so grabbed me zoom lens (not a euphemism! ) and snapped away for an hour or so. Here are some of the results, hope you like them.

Steve

Nice, thanks for the pictures!

Certainly when I have been before, they switched runways at about 1pm(ish).

I had a similar view when I stayed at the Ibis Earls Court, I loved it. The Mrs didnt however, since it took away from her attention. lol.

You know, the BA Dove plane isn't really all that bad on a smaller plane.

Damn I was there that day the Qatar A310 arrived and was on the bus going from Hatton Cross right after they switched runways and it flew right past. Did you take that pic just after 3pm??

I think it was around 3pm as me parents were popping over for dinner and I squeezed in a little spotting time before they turned up. Might have to invest in a new lens now though, sod the decorating hehehe.

Nice photos, what a nice place to live.
Pop your camera out for the Olympics, I bet you'll get some interesting airframes.

Sounds like a plan Airbro. Missed the BA A319 Firefly this morning whilst out walking the dog. She does look fantastic!

It might be white and all, but the more I see the Kuwait Airways, the more I like it- so very clean looking!

See now you and me both on that one Roarer. I think its got a nice retro-ish feel to the livery.
