Default Space Shuttle Enterprise Move

It's been a couple of busy weeks for me, capped by two days of photographing the Space Shuttle Enterprise on its journey to the Intrepid Museum. I'm really behind on processing photos, but here are two shots so far. More to come:

I took some shots of it but they are still working on it...the grand opening will be on July 19th. It looks...I would say the correct word would be "weird" I mean, to see a Space Shuttle on top of an Aircraft Carrier...I can't wait to go see it!

Im sorry to whom I might offend but I see absolutely none, nada, zero reason that a shuttle is in NYC. This city nor the state has had absolutely nothing to do with the space program (except pay taxes- that I'll concede).

The senators from this state have previously extensively lobbied that the program is too expensive and needed to be cut down to make way for social programs.

BUT! Good ole' scum-bag Chuckie Shumer put pressure to get a shuttle (at least it wasn't a real one) to put on that stupid carrier. Now both the Concorde and Shuttle can both slow-rot on the deck as the NY elements, rain, snow, ice and salty air turn museum pieces into dregs.

I traveled through Russia a few years back and literally saw fields of rusting and derelict MIL-8, HIND-D and Migs. This will be the same I fear.
