Default Swiss "New" Colours

Hey guys,

just found the photo on airliners.net.
It shows a fresh repainted Swiss A330-300.

I´m pretty disappointed. I liked the old version more.
But i have to admit that generally i´m not a fan of livery changes

What do you think about this!

One big 'YAWN'. I too preferred the older livery.

I didn't think their livery could get any more white... I guess I was wrong hahaha.

Cool Re: Swiss "New" Colours

Works for me. I'd buy that in diecast (if an A340 was made). But then again, I also collect Air France.

It seems airlines prefer to reduce painting cost and make the aviation world all white.

I agree. Its very uninspired.

I mean, white IS after all a very Swiss colour ( the snowy mountains, the white on their flag, the colour of the milk that goes into making their cheese and chocolate... ), but seriously, their current livery, with the red blocks on the engines and extra swiss titling of "suisse svizzera schweiz"looked at least pretty good. Now, we are just getting a duller version of the same thing, minus the extra detailing that made that livery interesting!

And I'm not a fan of this billboard style titling either. It only looks good on airlines like Emirates, Ethiopian, SriLankan and Qatar. Because they have a bit of colour in their liveries. This looks really dull and boring.

IMO they should have used a different type of font like a bolder fatter fonts and maybe italized it a bit add some borders....me thinks the new font looks skinny and dull...sometimes tweeking fonts does make a difference

I think they should definitely enlarge those titles a bit, and keep the stuff that they had on the engine cowlings. Not bad, I kinda like it, but I still prefer the original. Any chance we will see a Swiss A330-300 in 1:200 (that is one of my top A330s) in the original livery?

Gross, they even removed the engine squares, LX just keeps going down with liveries lately.

Less weight from the paint, less fuel used, less crap produced = cheaper tickets!!

Seems like a lot of the airlines are going to these white boring bland schemes. No excitement whatsoever. Boring schemes makes them harder to market as they blend in with others. Exciting schemes makes them more noticeable to market. After all it's the way they're presenting themselves.
