Well, it could have happened! What if Eastern Airlines had bought Vickers Super VC-10 aircaft for European services from the east coast of the USA? It's a paint scheme I've always liked (the teal/purple hockey stick scheme)especially on T-Tail aircraft, and the VC-10 is the best of all the T-tail aircraft, so why not? I'm even thinking of a registration number series of NV1100EA.
My company, IHP, is planning to release a Super VC-10 kit in 1:144 scale in a few months. I may just take a few castings and get a couple of decal sheets for Eastern Boeing 727-200's (the two aircraft were roughly the same size), and try it. Mike Bartel IHP http://ihphobby.tripod.com |

Man, you're not going to believe this, but somebody actually made an Eastern VC-10 and I have it! It's all white, but the cheat lines are blue and red (!) instead of two-tone blue, with the title and logo in blue.
A real funky junky footnote to the hobby of toy airliner collecting. If you remember the pics that Gordon posted earlier this year of the cheap little toy Continental 707 with red meatball on the tail, this one's in the same series and about the same quality!
