Did these combos upon suggestion from a couple of friends.
In an ideal scenario of mine, Alitalia would either A) be a quality carrier, or B) go bust, and Air Dolomiti would become Italy's main carrier. Even though they have become a Lufthansa partner now, I still think they are Italy's best airline, a true ambassador to the country. They've got quality, they've got style... sigh! I love their livery (you can't see it in the drawing, but the base is not white, it is a marvellous pearlescent colour), and it doesn't look bad at all on the 346 IMO Livingston is the new name of Lauda Air Italy, more specifically a carrier created by Italy's leading tour operator group, Gruppo Ventaglio. They have 3 A321s and 2 A330-200s (plus a 3rd one to be delivered). As mentioned, they will replace the Lauda Italy brand as well as the current fleet of 767s. Lastly, Meridiana is one of the main secondary carriers in the country, operating with MD-82/83s and A319s, the former being set to be replaced with A320s. Federico

I wouldnt mind seeing those birds in the sky at all! As long as one of them relaunches the service that Alitalia used to serve to Hong Kong!

Hi Federico,
I think you made a very good job, the Air Dolomiti livery is not as beautiful as on a true plane when seen on a PC, I'd like to see it on bigger planes... by the way I still hope that Alitalia will continue to be our national carrier in the future, maybe with a new policy and with a more accurate management than in the past. In case they would have a crisis (bigger than the one they've in their DNA), maybe the Volare group would be better than a foreign company.... Air Dolomiti is part of lufthansa at the moment, Air One is a partner. Last thing: Meridiana thumbs up, Livingston thumbs down (I really don't like that circus-livery). Ciao! Lollo P.S. Non è che hai tempo e voglia di provare a disegnare qualche livrea Air One su di un MD-11, DC-10 o Tristar??? Nel caso, grazie fin da adesso! ![]() |

Lollo, I can't say I'd be happy to see Volare become Italy's main carrier, in case of an Alitalia demise...unless of course they get their act together and stop changing/cutting routes all the time, as well as improve their on-time performance. Besides, they are a LCC... I'd rather see Meridiana take over.
I do hope Alitalia will survive this crisis, as much as I would like to see it go under and re-emerge a healthier airline (like SN Brussels did), cleaned of all the filth that infests it, but they are an icon that Italy needs to keep alive. Unfortunately Italians have the habit of destroying the best things we have (with very few exceptions)... Anyhow, enough of the ranting! ![]() I am fully aware that Air Dolomiti is 100% owned by LH now, but as I said, this is an ideal scenario, and they would still be 100% Italian (why they decided to give themselves to LH is beyond me, but at least they got to keep their identity, unlike the rest of the Lufthansa Regional airlines) ![]() Lastly, I really don't mind Livingston's colors, they are a rather hip company overall, and they ARE a holiday airline after all ![]() Federico p.s. posso provarci, ma prima dovrò disegnarmi dei profili per quegli aerei ![]()

Guys, lets not put Alitalia to bed yet. The old girl still has some life in her.
I truly hope, Alitalia is able to shape up and become a premier world carrier like they used to be. I recently flew the 777 EWR-MXP/FCO-EWR and it was the nicest two flights I have ever experienced. The crew was professional, kind, entertaining, engaging, everything I expected from Alitalia. Forza Italia, Forza ALITALIA! |

Alitalia744: I really would not mind that proposal, AS LONG AS THEY CAN RELAUNCE THE FCO-HKG AGAIN!
![]() Why not SAS too in the process?
