Personally, Alitalia's livery is a classic timepiece - an example of overall branding way ahead of it's time, from the font to the way the "A" fits everything - communicating class and precision.
I would not want it to change, but here is an idea for a small update that I could live with. Please give me your thoughts, both positive and negative - I know it may be a little too "eurowhite" for some... Thanks. |

Looks pretty cool, especially on the classic 747 and the triple 7!
It would look even better with a small green/white/red cheatline and the bottom of the fuselage in green! That's my opinion. |

The update really freshens the Alitalia graphic image. Looking at my GJ Alitalia 777; I could see how your idea of the tail color extension could work to give more impact with more use of the bright colors.
As for the addition of the grey widget; you might try a version without it. Just adding the cheatline and extending the tail colors gives a subtle newness to the current scheme. Dont forget to add the pax windows on top of the enlarged 777 titles. B2

My father worked for Alitalia at JFK for 30 years. Being used to seeing the typical Alitalia "A" design on the tail & being changed is a little hard to accept. But I do like VERY MUCH, the Alitalia name on the fuselage enlarged along with the "A" shadow effect you made on the 747 is great! This would look great on a white 747 Alitalia. Its a shame that all the passenger 747's have been retired. The Alitalia 747 Cargo (operated by Atlas Air) would give an idea on how the all white version might look like in real life. Good idea!
Regards, Sal

Since you're so good at the Alitalia drawing. How about a 747 in Ati colors? That would be interesting....

You always do an excellent job of applying modified/redesigned colors to the actual template. I do think, however, that the fuselage could use a bit more color. How about a diagonal "fat" stripe of red/green ala some of the Kurosawa JAS schemes?

Great fantasy design of the Ati livery on a 747. Do you remember Aermediterranea? That was also a nice color scheme before Alitalia took over their operations completely. Thanks for taking the time to do the Ati design for me. At least i'm not the only one who likes the Alitalia logo.

Sal,
I remember Aermed... Great font type. Alitalia's logo, in my opinion is the best out there. Then again, I am partial to Alitalia for a number of reasons. I do miss their 742's at JFK. Thought they had the best looking scheme on the classic Boeing. Their 777's do look nice too though. ![]() -G |

Sincerly, I prefer the actual livery, you made a great work but, from my point of wiew, you "forgot" to put the "black nose" on all Alitalia planes - I love it!

The ATI 742 and the MD-11 look great (the others are nice, too), but as Lollo said, the typical black nose is missing, perhaps you can still add it?
That would make them look even better! ![]() |
