Well Capt.,even you know that a shi**y DC-10 would never serve as Air Force One, since you suggested that a 744 or an A380 replace the current 742. Besides we all know that the L-1011 would and does look better in this scheme. Robert

It will be a cold day in hell before I see any Airbus products wearing US Government schemes.

Personally, the new AF1 should be a 777-300 or a 747-400. But since the curent AF1's are relatively new (something like 20,000 flight hours) and extremely well maintained they really don't need replacing.

Oh settle down, before you give yourself a hernia! Dont take it personally. I never said anything about a DC-10 anyways!

That I agree with (the part of the 20,000 flight hrs, and need no replacing!) and I would like to see a 773 in AF1 colors, that I think would be cool!

, Bush deserves to fly on one of the old Tristars! The one time I flew on a Continental Tristar (I believe it was a L-1011-500) the window frames were falling off... needless to say, I'm not a big fan of the aircraft, although I do wish Lockheed would've continued making commercial jetliners. I like the DC-10 and MD-11 a lot, though.

As for the new Air Force One, I think it should be a 747-400ER. The plain 744 is not enough of an improvement, so the IGW and ER of the new 744ER should do it... .

Great job, Deltaflot!

Default Great job.

Russ,
That's really good. You're getting to be the master of photo art.

I can't believe this. I meant Delta Tristar, not Continental. I don't know what the hell motivated me to say Continental. But what's even more puzzling is that nobody corrected me, and it took me a couple of days to return to this thread.

You call yourself airplane fans?
