COOL BEANS Russ! I like it! The choice of the -500 is an interesting one. PSA couldn't make the larger version pay off and Hughes Airwest would never have made it pay either... at least not a new one.
As a pickup from another airline, while the range would have been wasted, the size could have been good for their longer legs they developed right before Republic sucked them up. ![]() In any event, the livery suits the L1011 better than the proposal from MD on the DC-10. I like the half painted engines particularly. While not the most attractive alternative it's more realistic that way. Work on the blennding on the #2 intake though... it looks like it got wacked-in by a cherry picker during de-icing! ![]()
