Nice job jetabout! I personally like the old scheme better...the new one is way too plain.

Very nice

I'm getting to like the new scheme more and more, at first I didn't like it but now I think it is what KLM needed - something more updated than the old one, fresh-looking yet still in line with tradition.. Maybe next time will be the time they do a major renewal of the brand...I would like to see something like this: http://ryefly.tripod.com/pages/klm.html

Oh BTW Jetabout, did you ever get back to my idea of a new livery for Alitalia

I'm afraid have to agree with connor. The old livery has more class & weight. I actually thought they might come up with more flourish, like the background of their updated website. Then again, we are talking about a Dutch airline (which is probably why you may never see the livery Federico suggested. The new livery does seem better suited for the narrowbodies. And one must always count their blessings that it is not eurowhite !!! So can expect a livery change for KLMuk ???

Thank you! Will do.

In the meantime, here's what I think the regionals should look like. All now carry a name. Air Exel fleet is named after Dutch cities but in their roman/latin version. Cityhopper planes are named after European cities. And KLM uk has names derived from bodies of water in the UK.

Thumbs up

HAH! That's funny. Thanks for posting your drawing. Great job!

The following is a study in the evolution of a logo as presented on a DC-10. It follows the change on the crowned logo as we know it today through KLM's jet age. Only the middle livery flew on this aircraft. The colours on the older versions may be off because the quality of pictures available for research are not that great. The PK-MBT is a DC-10-30CF leased from Martinair

DutchBird has ordered the A320 to fill their need for smaller aircrafts. Thought this may be a good time to introduce something new.
