Default Non-flying SIAs

Just for the heck of it, a series of aircrafts in the new SIA colours...

This one did fly with Singapore Airlines, but not very long and definitely not in the new colour. I gave the aircraft the name... Concorde It seems no other name will do. I wish they still do. I remember it shaved travel time by half, even with the fuel/technical-stop in Bahrain.

The smaller sister of this aircraft did serve with SQ, and fo a short time even appeared in the new colours before it was withdrawn. (I'm hoping for a GJ or DW model in the new colour scheme... hey... good cause to start a campaign)

Anyway, Mantis is the genus name for the Praying Mantis, whis is what this airplane reminds me of.

I did not change the engine since I like the shape of this one better. Pure superficiality!

Following the nature theme here is a B 767-400 with the name Diomedea, the genus name for Albatross birds. Just thought it befits this 'bird'.

Will do.

In the meantime, here's one we will be seeing. The name is derived from the biggest star that has been found so far, R-Doradus, with the spelling modified.

For the 747SP...

http://www.diecastaircraftforum.com/...threadid=19212

And just an idea, what if SIA begins an all Business or First Class service for the Asian region akin to the LH flight from Dusseldorf to New York

Thanks for the comments everyone. The Russian birds will have to wait, since I don't have templates for them. In the meantime, here's one that Mr. CX did sometime ago. He did a beatiful photographic rendering of one. I thought I'd share my version
