American Airlines Livery Concept
I thought I'd give a go at creating a new livery for AA.
I'm in a bit of hurry, so I'll post my reasonings behind what I did in a bit.
Cheers!

Re: American Airlines Livery Concept
I like how the scheme blends with the shape of the aircraft. It's clean, but the blue top is bland and titling and logo are too reserved; small.

Re: American Airlines Livery Concept
The last one needs some red, other than that, I really like them! I still love their current and classic livery best though!

Re: American Airlines Livery Concept
The current livery, as nice as it is, is starting to look a little dated. With the introduction of the new generation jetliners I think that a totally new colour scheme is sort of needed. I really think that you are on the right track with your designs. Nice work!

Re: American Airlines Livery Concept
I really like the imagination of your concept drawings, and they look great. Something about them is actually a little Asian-flavored, IMO. But that might be a great appeal, especially since this is the century of the Asian Renaissance.

I created an account here just to comment on this. I am absolutely in love with this livery and think it should be American's design should they merge with US Airways

Trevor, Your AA concept/aircraft sketch are some of the nicest I've come across in a VERY long time. Keep up the nice work. Great to see some powerful pixels.

Well done piece, Trev. I'm very much impressed of your work.
As suggested above, you should consider contacting AA and show them your work.

Re: American Airlines Livery Concept
If you've seen AA's new video on their interiors, their exterior was blank. A new livery is likely on the way. With any luck, maybe its one of yours.

Re: American Airlines Livery Concept
Wow thank you everyone for such positive feedback, I must say I didn't expect minds to be as open about this topic.
After seeing the new interiors I am thinking I will evolve my latest livery to follow the colour scheme a bit more and maybe pitch it. I doubt it will be picked up as airlines hire large graphic design firms to design their brands and AA most likely has their new brand decided by now.
But it never hurts to try!
Cheers everyone.

Re: American Airlines Livery Concept
tREv d.,
I hope you sincerely try your best to copyright these concepts and submit them to AA. The so called professional designers have often screwed up airline schemes, so your designs would be a real breath of fresh air. All the best to you!!!

Re: American Airlines Livery Concept
If American really had to replace their livery (Which they are going to do, sadly) I really hope it is one of these concepts.

Re: American Airlines Livery Concept
Really like the second livery you posted with the flash of red on the engines and tail along with the Eagle livery. Both smart, up to date, got a bit of flair about them whilst not looking gaudy. Don't like the first livery though, looks a little dated to me, something you'd see in the 90's. Got a real talent there Trev, cheers for taking the time to post.

Second vote from the UK for that second livery in post#4. AA have traditionally always had red in their livery and you need to keep that.
Really nice! Well done!
