Default Where can I post a fraudulent seller?

Right now, I have a Paypal case open against a forum member. He was paid $350 for six diecast planes that were never shipped. The seller is blocking private messages from me. Once Paypal refunds the payment and the case is close, I would like to post the name of the fraudulent seller.

Is there a place where I can post the fraudulent seller so fellow members do not fall for his scam?

G'day,

This is a difficult one to advise on.

Rules state that:

You may not post any personal information about a member on the forums without the express written consent of the person involved. Even if you want to let the collecting community know about a bad trader, posting the person's real name, address, email and phone number is prohibited. Such violations may result in the suspension of your account.

Furthermore:

You agree that you will not use this discussion forum to post any statement which is knowingly false, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, graphic, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy or otherwise in violation of any law.

Do not post slanderous or defamatory statements. These include, but are not limited to, false or malicious statements injurious to a person's reputation, job, family, or private life.

So what can you do..?

Again Rules state:

Word all criticism in a polite and constructive manner. Criticism which serves no purpose other than to incite or insult other members will not be tolerated.

Stick to the facts and don't allow emotion to rule what you write in any thread. You can state the members Username on DA.C and Wings900, also a username on ebay if applicable, however you cannot post the person's real name, address, email or phone number.

The best place to post is either in the scale section of the models or in the For Sale section. Again, keep to the facts of the matter and don't express any personal views, no matter how angry you feel. Doing so will just lead to more problems, possible reports and probable suspensions from the site.

If you have any concerns, you're welcome to contact me via PM.

Cheers Lou

Thank you for the reply.

I will never post a personal information. But once the Paypal case is over in about two weeks (around 11/28/16), I will only post the seller's screen name, facts and timeline in "For Sale, Trade or Swap" section.

I could never understand people that engage in that behavior. Your paid for the models, you box them up,and mail them. Anything short of that,is called "THEFT"!

its up to the seller and buyer's discretion but I would recommend paying the fee for business transactions. Family and friend transactions are never protected under paypal.

Haven't you already posted that in the For Sale thread of that seller. I think people can see that . Detailed story can just go there without the hassle of creating a new thread.

Sorry to hear about your negative experience purchasing on the DAC. I've successfully sold hundreds of models on this Forum and have given away for free a handful of models as well. I hope that bad transaction you had with this particular DAC member has not left a bad mark/taste with you concerning DAC future transactions with other DAC sellers. There are some great DAC members/sellers and it would be a shame that this DAC seller would prevent you from purchasing future models on the DAC. Cheers T7

I have utmost respect and confidence in all forum members here. Who knows why someone does "silly thing" like this? I am protected by Paypal and I will get my money back in about a week. He will have to deal with Paypal.

It's just waste everyone's time.

I just saw who the seller is. It's not like him to do such a thing. He has been around the forum for some time and was a regular poster. Maybe something happened, an accident, illness, vacation, work?? Answering an email would have been appropriate but I really don't think you should worry. Good luck and let us know how things turn out.

I am just as surprised as anyone else here. He had posted 1000+ times. He was actually on the forum the day before he received $350 from me. If he did not answer my PMs, then there is always a chance that something had happened. However, I had to act decisively because he actually when out of his way to block my PM.

There is a minuscule chance that he will ship planes. In about a week, once Paypal refund $350, then the case is closed and I will have no doubt about him.

I am really surprised. He use to post many photos of models he had bought. Really good photos. Then that slowed down to a near stop. Not sure what happened? That's a real head scratch. Of course, you can't keep someones money, and not send the product. Why he would think he could pull that off is beyond me?

G'day,

I don't think your PM was blocked, but that his message bank is full. When a member's PM site becomes full, it's impossible for anyone to send a PM to that member.

I suspect something has happened to this member. Possibly hospital (or worse) rather than just ignoring other members on here.

Well that's awful all around. Such is the nature of forums, we don't really know what going on when a member stops posting. The internet is still so very new in the ways of human interaction.

Fraudulent seller? Is his name "Tiger Lee"?? He duped dozens of collectors like me seven years ago.
