Heads up for the next major UK event - the Heathrow Aircraft Enthusiasts Fair, which has outgrown its usual venue at Feltham and will now be held at Kempton Park Racecourse, Sunbury-on-Thames on Saturday 10th November. Details here:
http://www.aircraftenthusiastsfairs.co.uk/ I shall be going, so if anyone wants any Corgi Aviation Archive models, please PM me for a VERY special price and I'll save you postage/packing also by bringing the model to the show for you to collect! ![]() |

On average, how many UK shows are there each year??
I mean, are there any in Scotland or is it mainly a Heathrow/Lutonish thing?? Thanks.

But when the daily remit is multiple short hops between tiny bumpy strips in a climate that flickers from the blustery to the apocalyptic, this sturdy little craft is hard to beat.' Difficult to say, but there are around 6-8 each year, with annually one or two near the major airports at Heathrow, Gatwick, Birmingham,Manchester Luton and one at Bristol. Don't know of any in Scotland, but everything anyone collects can be found at these shows - models, photos, kits, postcards, slides, books, decals, DVDs etc. You can't leave any of them without taking away something you have been wanting!
I shall have a table at Kempton Park, Sunbury-on-Thames on Saturday 10th November selling mainly Corgi models at bargain prices. I will be pleased to meet anyone coming to this event. |

Interested to hear from anyone who was there. What did you get? Was it better than Feltham venue? I was stuck in work so couldn't get there.
When is the next one? |

I had a table there and everyone remarked how much better it was than at Feltham, MUCH MUCH bigger with about the same area and number of traders as at LGW Gatwick Aviation Enthusiasts Fair, which is held at Crawley Leisure Centre. Coffee bar, hot food cafe, it was great. Only problem was the queue of cars to get in, as it clashed with an Auto-jumble sale next door. I picked up the latest 6 Aeroclassics 1/400 Boeing 707s from ARD and the new Avion Video BAC One-Eleven Pt.2 story DVD. Next event there will be on Sunday 11th May 2008, but before that we have LGW08 on Sunday 27th April 2008 at the K2 Crawley Leisure Centre. I consider that both now will be the best two aviation enthusiasts fairs in the UK and there were LOTS of diecast bargains to be had. With so many traders, you could just walk round and compare prices.Andrew Klein was selling all the latest Aeroclassics 1/400th DC-9s for £9 each for example.
