It was pretty good. Last year was probably a lot better. There were only a few large vendors with 1:400 this year. But there were a ton of other great things there like old timetables, large-scale models, photos, ect.

I heard it blew. 'Twasn't the greatest of locations so I had a feeling it wouldn't be worth going half way across the country. The past cuppla show locations have sucked. Even though La La Land was a great place to have an A.I. my sources say the show was pretty much dead. Hell, the last show that rocked was in Phoenix and that was back in 2000. Miami in 2001 had great tours but no one was there. Houston had pretty good tours too but once again no one was there. I dunno boys but I think the shows are in dire need of c.p.r. Even the regional shows at L.A., Seattle, the Bay Area, Miami etc are losing crowds thanks, I think, to eBay and the internet. Sucks but I will do my part come next summer to head east to Stevie Morgan's show in Virginia.

Not much going on. I went with cash in hand hoping to buy some of the new models, but only saw really old stuff. Many of the vendors were not open the first afternoon. Lots of the usual books, slides, timetables, etc. but very disappointing model-wise.

I was at the Phoenix show and it was a great one. Perhaps they should take the lead of other organizations and keep the shows in Vegas or Phoenix. Vegas would be my preference as it tends to draw people not just for the show, but for the entertainment as well. Not to mention the weather.

God, that show at the Camelback was great! Hanging out at the pool at 2 a.m. and sucking on beers watching Veronika from Klein's shop and Asher get it on in the spa. Even though the burgers cost $30,000 for one it was a bitchin' spot. The best part of the show was cruising by, I think, John Marshall's table, and buying beer from his cooler for a buck. 'Twas nice and cold in that 117f degree heat. Thanks to Don and Linda Levine no one is allowed to bring alcohol into the show room anymore. Bastards!

Don't forget that the hotel was awesome in addition to the scenery. Even if it WAS freaking HOT!

Kinda miss those days when Gemini Jets and Jet-X were a part of the scene.

Carry on!

I enjoyed both years (95 and 2000) at PHX when these shows were really kickin and we all looked forward to getting together with the group.

However, I think 9/11 had a lot to do with it slacking off so something has to be done to kick start it again.

MKE was OK, Andrew and Stacy did a great job with what they had to work, MKE. Anyway the ramp and YK tour was good and I always have a good time.

LAS would be good, there are some good hotels there that are not the big ones and we could recapture those PHX times in LAS.

I look forward to Washington next year.

Next years show will be in Virginia, just outside IAD (Dulles), not in the great State of Warshington.
