Re: Dallas to Alaska-Pics

Nice pics, Billy! Do you have bennies on AA/US? My g/f and I non-revved up to ANC this past October. Interesting city. Reminded me A LOT of Billings, MT. I hated Billings.

Re: Comparing Gemini's MD90 to their MD80

Gemini mentioned that the Allegiant release was actually done on the old mold. The American MD-80 has been the only release on the newer MD-80 mold thus far.

Re: Spare nose wheels for GJ ATR-42/72?

Got a reply from Nikki at GJ yesterday afternoon saying that she would send me a set of wheels, free of charge, and that they would be mailed out that day. Great customer service!

Re: Spare nose wheels for GJ ATR-42/72?

Actually, it's just the tires that are missing, so that might work! I hadn't thought about what other aircraft types might have the same nose gear tires as GJ's ATR-42/72. I just finished comparing...

Spare nose wheels for GJ ATR-42/72?

I was wondering if anyone might happen to have a spare set of nose wheels for the GJ 1:400 ATR-42/72 that I could acquire. Without getting into too many of the details, I recently purchased the...

Re: PHOTOS - JCW - MD-80 - Blank

The window plugs are completely dependent on the airline and year, and sometimes even the ship number. It has nothing to do with whether it's an MD-81, MD-82, MD-83, or MD-88. They all have the...

Re: PHOTOS - JCW - MD-80 - Blank

Two quick observations:

1. Seems strange to not finish the engine exhausts with bare metal.

2. Why would they plug some of the cabin windows (and they plugged a lot of them)? The vast majority...

Six across has been standard on the 707, 720, 727, 737, and 757 for decades. But I do agree. The seat width on these types leaves a lot to be desired when the flight is full. The Embraer E-Jets...
