I might be missing something but, what about the rest of the model or is that it? A wall hanging decoration piece?

More to the point, it would be vaguely tasteless to get one of Clipper Maid of the Seas, wouldn't it??

I'd kill to have one of those really large scale 747 models. I'm in hot pursuit of one right now, actually 2 of them. One is a PIA 747-200 which was given to PIA by Boeing in 1978 which is a cutaway model made by Westway and when I first saw it, it was on display in the PIA ticket office at the airport. It was in the 70's delivery livery and all complete. Now the last time I went there and passed by that office, the model was gone and replaced by a smaller 777 model and I panicked. I made a few calls and found out that the MD of PIA while visiting the ticket office instructed them to remove and dispose of the model as it was now long obsolete and needed to be replaced. They had a hard time dismantling it and shipped it off to their warehouse. I managed to ask someone to contact the person incharge but they said that the model was shipped to another ticket office of theirs in another city which I find hard to believe considering the size of it and the cost of shipping it there. I'm still waiting to get confirmation on the exact whereabouts of that model as the last thing I want is for that to end up in the garbage.

The second model is another cutaway Kuwait Airways 747-200 which a travel agency has on display. The model is missing an engine but other than that its all there and the person who went to check it out told me they were willing to sell it but wanted around $150 for it. I need to go there again to see if they still have it.

Only $150 for the KU. Silly 1:200s cost more.
