I went on their site to see what models they have, and I realized that they only work with custom orders.
Do they only produce in bulk, or do they also take single orders?
If they do take single orders, how much do they charge for a model on average?
from what I have heard about that from others and if its true, yes they can do single orders. your best bet is to just call them up and ask.
Please announce for whome PacMin made single models (A/C, A/L, Scale).
I had an absolutelly different experience with PacMin.
I offered to PacMin $2.000,00 for a single 1:100 777-300ER model in a livery which PacMin already have made (80 pieces had been delivered to the Airline). Several times I spoke to Mrs.Jane Ouwleen, PacMin, but she reejected my offer. May be my two thousand US Dollar offer was not enough attractive? She explained that they don't consider orders with less than five samples. That's PacMin policy, because they have large orders from Boeing and worldwide Airlines, so they don't need to loose time on collectors. But, I noticed a few people from California and Seattle who permanently sell or resell PacMin models on ebay.com (see: pacminfinder.com). I'm curious to know what's their source of PacMin models, because they offer rare models, mainly non-US Airlines. For one I know he's a Boeing employee, but others could have direct connections to PacMin?!
I adore PacMin models. I purchase them from Airlines, eBay, Aviationmodels-online, swap with worldwide collectors, etc...Maybe we, PacMin collectors, should place joint 5+orders...? But, it's difficult to find five people with same wishes.

Re: Question about Pacmin
I agree with Milos, it has been my experience that PACMIN DOES NOT do individual orders. Simply stated, they have too much business to bother with individual orders.
They will make up a sample run if requested by the airline or manufacturer as a sales
tool, so that the airline can see what the plane will look like in their colors. These samples
sometimes do make it to the open market. If you are looking for a regular issue from an airline, the best bet would be to try and see if they have an in house shop open to the public.
Well i was going to order 10 Qatar Airways B777-300ER, and they were happy to proceed but then they said we cannot make them because they do not have license to make them for collectors. Just for airline only....
Anyway try Westway Aviation Models. I find their models are better than PacMin. In detail wise.

10 Qatar 777-300ERs...don't you have enough PK 777s already!!

I have custom made 1:100 Westway KLM 737-800W and Jat Airways 737-300. PacMin models are beautifull work-of-art and therefore matchless!
Yes, Westway accepts single orders, but they produce a few more samples and then offer on eBay.co.uk. at reasonable prices.
I have a Lufthansa A.340-600 by Conquest Models - UK. That's the most detailed 1:100 model in my Collection (www.aviationmodels-online.com, >Photo gallery >1:100 Collections...). Conquest Models are very expensive (over $1,000.00) but they are worth!
I think that No.1 shoul be Conquest Models, No.2 PacMin, No.3 & No.4 Space Models (recently became bankrupt) and Westway, but without offence, Atlantic and other US/Philippine resin models are rough made, which can be detected at engine blades and insufficiently thin wings ("beam, stump models").
You could try www.atlantic-models.com. They have a large assortment of model aircraft for sale in different sizes and the pricing is similar to Pacmin.
From the pictures that they have posted, the models look pretty decent and you can buy right off their website.
im browsing conquest's site and im just blown away. but shoot for $2000 a model, i rather donate that money to charity!!! but these models are still fun to look at! i cant wait to see them expand their portfolio line, especially these high detailed ones
printing on the wheels themselves???????? hot dog!
Milos, I meant individual people ordering individual models, not one specific model that they offer. I have known people who have done so and if you look at this category in DA.C there are some people to claim that they have done so. also, if you look at the Pacmin web site they do sell models. I came across a link that showed a few that they had for sale, other than the "available models" from the airlines, sorry! but for the life of me I dont remember where that link was.
a lot of the models are restricted, so definitly not available. years ago I was in their factory and the place is hugh!!, planes all over the place!!. so I can see their reasoning for just doing the airlines.
Hans
For my PIA PacMin, i paid B777-200 = $2000USD, B777-300ER = $3000USD
Can you let us know from whome did you purchase your PK777s: from the manufacturer PacMin (custom made), from PK Executives (Airline stock), from collectors (as second hand). Really you overcharged PK777s!
Which PK models did you order from Paul Dunn, "Westway"? Or your PK Westways are coming from elsewhere? Thank you for your PacMin IRAB6 offer.

"CONQUEST MODELS" ARE BEST IN THE WORLD !!!
I have one Conquest Model only - Lufthansa A340-642 D-AIHF.
Their Etihad A345 and Cathay Pacific and Iberia A346s are excellent.
Another display A/C model manufacturer worth to be mentioned is "GRAPHIDECO" ("Airline Models") from France. Most of their production are 1:100 Airbus and ATR models, with hundreds of airline liveries. They also produce 1:72 ATR42/72s. Available single custom orders, direct or via AviationMegastore. Here are Graphideco 1:100 Royal Brunei A320 and Croatia A319.
I think I'll wait till hopefully Aeropro will release the EY A346 in 1/200 scale. There has to be a limit to ones obsessiveness to want to spend several thousands of $$ on just a couple of models.
mmm im not sure what the obsession is over 1:100 models that cost $1000 vs, the same things at 1:200 that cost $30! in the end they both sit there and do nothing more than collect dust, and collect even more dust when we die.
maybe samee and JAT can explain a bit why they are attracted to such models! im just curious
If I may add to this also, I started in this hobby with plastic models like most everybody else, and one day I was introduced to display models, never knew such a thing existed...loved the larger size and all. besides, I got tired of those little things breaking off as the years went on, so I stuck with it.
I must admit that $1,000-$2,000 is a bit steep, but its something that will last and last. I guess it's all relative on what you want.
not to blow my own horn but, this is what a 1/100 $16,000 model looks like, now that's pricey!! did this years ago, made in Sterling Silver.

Amazing details....

I bought those PIA PacMin as there are very rare! And i do have 4 guys who would be prepared to pay in the region of $6000 for each! As those were made for the Dubai Airshow and hold a memory of an occasion i suppose.
Regarding the scale, more detail as on the Westway Models, Big looks good maybe...
What else can i say? I like scale 1/100 models! I just collect one airline now! PIA!
