Default Dedicated to "The Airplane guy", "Azzudin", "StillAir" and "Crowvic" ! !

Hi guys

I´d like to share with you photos of two models ordered by me from Embraer store. I need to check their scale later but I suppose they are 1:100. Sorry but I am too lazy to do that now. Below there are photos of an Emb-110 Bandeirante and Emb-120 Brasília both wearing Rio-Sul colors. Rio-Sul was 100% owned by VARIG and was even better than its mother. I loved to fly their B735 and Brasilias.

These models have its issues; clearly I can see the decal´s line, the abcence of gears and registrations and the absence of propellers.. But I am glad I got these ones because I suppose I will never see a 110 or 120 in 1:200 or 1:400 scale.

Comments please.

P.S.: the guys @ Embraer store are very kind. When I opened the packages I found a poster and dozen stickers.

Another Brasilia I already have, made by another manufacturer in balsa. 1:72 scale. This one is wearing Rio-Sul latest colors.

Thanks for the dedication Santos

The brasilia looks amazing. Wish I can get one of that, especially if it's with landing gears. The box also looks attractive.

How much are they?

These are lovely models. Back in the mid 80s I used to work for an airline called Air Ecosse which was based in Aberdeen Scotland. They had a fleet of 12 EMB110 in two versions. One version with a large upward opening aft freight door and and the other version with a standard downward opening passenger door with integral steps. We were the largest operator of the type in Europe and operated a regional maintenance centre for the type in Scotland. The colour scheme was maroon gold and white, absolutely gorgeous scheme. These EMB 110s hauled passengers all day and then mail into the night sometimes flying 20 hours per day!, they were marvellous. One day I will find a model 110 for me. In the 90s I worked with a Dutch carrier Air Exel with the EMB120 Brasilia, a very worthy follower to the EMB110

I wish I can request a custom made 1/72 scale Brasilia in Continental Express livery. I live in Houston and New Orleans before and used to saw them coming in and out of the airport.

Brasilia is my most favorite and the best looking turboprop IMO, follow by SAAB 340.
