Yes, they are too expensive. But on the other hand these models ordered by Willy Messerschmitt as promotional aids for his postwar planes do have a history.
If you consider what money is right now paid in the USA for much less interesting models, the Schaarschmidt Messerschmitts require to become highlighted.

PS: A first attempt to sell the 262 failed already....

Well ... yes ... some history. The price might be okay, if it was the only existing model that has been produced by the Messerschmidt factory as gift to a famous person.
But you won`t say a (for example ) Montblanc pen with "Microsoft" advertisement has an history because it was ordered by Bill Gates.
Lets see and watch the prices go down every week ...

Well, I'd go for it if this was a Schaarschmidt Lufthansa Connie... (O.K. - remove a zero...)

You got the tin Arnold Connie for exactly that price! (w./o. the zero...)

However, interesting to see, that most people do not like the Schaarschmidt fighters, even by considering, that they are over 50 years old...

Na gut...

Erwischt! (You caught me red-handed on that one!) Yes - I just couldn't resist buying the model for that price with the original box. I'll pick it up at the seller's house near Stuttgart tonight.
Now I'll have to consider what to do with my other Arnold Connie... Well, may be I'll sell her to bring in some cash - you never know: There might be a Schaarschmidt Constellation on eBay soon for $250...
