Smile NEW! 1/130 RiseSoon Royal Australian Air Force Boeing 737BBJ.

Hi Guys,

Just wanted to share another new Rise Soon release that will only be sold in Australia. As with the Virgin Blue 1/100 B737-800, I'm happy to ship to overseas Customers as well.

It's Australia's version of "Air Force 1", and it is this Aircraft that our Prime Minister and other Heads of State use when travelling both domestically in Australia and overseas. The Model correctly depicts the -700 Fuselage but with the strengthened Wing of the-800. 34 Squadron based at RAAF base Fairbairn operate 2 of these.

This Model is being produced primarily as an order for 34 Squadron Crews and Maintainers, but the RAAF have given Licensing approval to sell to any other interested parties.

The markings have all been referenced to official RAAF drawings to ensure accuracy.

If interested, please drop me a line at: holdsworthac@bigpond.com

Best Regards,
Nalanji.

Hi Unicorn,

Did you notice any faults with the expensive Defence Models RAAF B737BBJ?

He's actually used the Minicraft 1/144 B737-400 Model Kit as the basis of the conversion! The dead giveaways are the square shape of the top of the Engine Pylon (B737NG's have a much more rounded top), plus the Engines are the wrong shape for a -700.

By default this means that the Model will have incorrect overall dimensions ie:
- That Vertical Stabiliser will be too short.
- The Wings of the -400 are considerably shorter than the -800.
- The Horizontal Stabilisers will also be too short.
- The Fuselage will also be too short.

Not the best for such an expensive Model!
