I just recently came across what appers to be a fairly old model of a American Airlines Boeing 727 Astrojet in the old livery color scheme. The madel came from an older lady who was a ticket sales rep for American in the 70's here in their Los Angeles office. Can anybody tell me anything about it?
It is aprox 28 inches long and 24 inches wide. Stand is metal and plane appears to be made of resin. Thanks Pellenils@hotmail.com |

Sorry, can't help you - but that's a real beauty! I always loved the Astrojet-livery. Congratulations!

This is one of the original PacMins made in the early 1960S for the AA B-727 order. There are several versions of this model and you have one of the latter version. It is interesting that I was bidding on one of these last year when the listing was terminated due to invalid bids (even though I was the winning bidder and was willing to pay the final price without hesitation. Oh, the mysteries of e-Bay!!!!
