Awesome Russian Bird

I just love this MIL-MI 8?? model..Does anyone
out there no about this model company Italeri?? I'm
torn about opening it up to fix the gear..It was fine
when I packed it in my luggage..I guess Ill just leave
it off for now..Nice detail for a Russian twirlybird!

I have one of these too. I agree, the model is very good. It represents the inter island passenger heli operation that linked the islands of Malta and Gozo. I'm fairly sure that the operation recently closed, at least this one using the Bulgarian company's aircraft. Do undo it though and fix that gear because if you think it looks good now just wait till you see it with the rotors attatched....worth every penny. I have many Soviet models but this is my only heli. Italeri is a very long standing and respected model kit maker but this is the first die cast heli model I've seen from them.

thanks for the info...I love Russian models as I probobably have over 50 right now in all scales!
