Default -- DAC's My Collection Showdown 2008 --

Welcome to the showdown thread.

I have been so amazed seeing Mr Alvaro's collection, and I thought I wanted to show mine as well, it is mostly my fleetbuilt airlines.

This post is located at Other Scales & Antique Models due to the intention of this thread should not be limited on particular scale. but overall scale.

I'll start with these. Others can also post their own fleetbuilt collection here, lets all collect it into 1 single thread, instead of scattered threads.

I will show you SAS, Singapore Airlines, Japan Airlines, KLM, Philippine Airlines, Lufthansa and random aircrafts.

-- Scandinavian Airlines --

-- Singapore Airlines--

-- Japan Airlines --

--
Koninklijke Luchtvaart Maatschappij --

-- Philippine Airlines --

-- Deutsche Lufthansa --

-- Random Aircrafts --

-- The Closet ---

Please join the thread and show us your fleetbuilding collection.

Ps: Everyone can join on this thread and share their awesome collection with others.

If you have anything else interesting you want to show, go ahead.

It is a A400 ... you can buy it at ebay from a chinese guy. I ordered and paid, too, but the model never arrived ... probably got lost in the mail ...

Nice collection !!!

Yup, That's correct, It's a Lupa model. Not the bestlooking model around, as no details worth to mention here, but got it free.

It has a A400M title on the tail.

It's not like I have that many cabinets, See of of the pictures. Im only using two cabs, one glassdoor and this one open. 3/4 of my models are in their respective boxes due to the limited space.

But take a look at the KLM photo, with little tecnique, you can cramp as many as 20 models on that space, including stands ofcourse. An 767 OC and a A310 OC is not there in the photo.

Ok..well..here we go with my (laughable) collection. Here you see an ExpressJet ERJ-145XR in 1/100 scale from Aero Le Plane, a PSA MD-82 in 1/250 scale from GeminiJets, and an American Airlines DC-3 in 1/250 scale from GeminiJets. Oh, yeah..the backdrop is a painting that I did of an F-14. I have more toys on order, though. I guess you can see that I'm a total newbie here!

Thanks, pgmerle..it will grow as time goes by! I probably won't go with too many more 1/250 scale. I have a 787 in house colors in 1/200 scale on order.

I do like that PSA MD82. Is the Gemini 250 also die cast ? I dont own a single GJ250 hehe

Btw Nice backdrop. I didnt know we had excellent painters here too.

Assume that the citation in your avatar is one of your paintings as well ? Painter & Collector - AWESOME

My A380-avatar is a laugh compared to yours. Stolen ofcourse, I just thought it was funny. lol

You are correct about my avatar. That is a painting of a Citation 7 that I did for a fellow pilot at work (he is assigned to it). GJ250 is why I started collecting. The detail is great, and yes..they are diecast. The drawbacks are written in the 1:250 scale threads. Basically, lack of collector interest. They feature retractable gears. Thanks for enjoying my artwork!

C-REX,love your collection mate, like you most of my planes are still in the box, cause my cabinets(3) is full and its very hard finding matching one.i could put about 70 planes in each cabinet very tight squeeze, but it also depends on the size of the aircraft.

Do you display collection by fleet or by aircraft type ?
Cause in my opinion, I like displaying by fleet, its really awesome to see different aircraft types in the same corporate scheme, a visitor asked me once, if I was working for KLM, because of all the KLM in one level.
